IMPORTANT DETAILS ON RACE DAY PARKING
Due to an ongoing construction project, we will not use the parking lots at the zoo this year. However ,However we will utilize the parking areas near start line and surrounding areas. PLEASE FOLLOW POLICE AND ATTENDANT DIRECTION! Runners are asked NOT TO PARK in any other area, unless directed. WE ASK RUNNERS TO USE BOTH EXIT 7 and EXIT 9 OFF OF I-83 TO SPREAD THE TRAFFIC. Runners who arrive early may enter the parking area from TWO ENTRANCES: 1) Gwynn Falls Pkwy. off of Druid Park Lake Dr. 2) Greenspring Ave. at Beechwood Dr.
THERE WILL BE TRAFFIC RACE MORNING. PLEASE BE PATIENT AND ARRIVE EARLY. GIVE YOURSELF PLENTY OF TIME TO PARK AND GET TO THE START LINE. PLAN TO LEAVE 45 MINUTES BEFORE YOU WERE THINKING ABOUT LEAVING. WE WILL START THE RACE AT 8:30am. AGAIN, WE ASK RUNNERS TO USE EXIT 7 and EXIT 9 OFF OF I-83 TO SPREAD THE TRAFFIC.

DIRECTIONS TO THE MARYLAND ZOO
The Race will utilize the parking areas near the Maryland Zoo property. Runners are asked NOT TO PARK in any other area. NOTE- Once race prep begins prior to the start of the race The Park Entrance off of Druid Park Lake Drive at Gwynn Falls Pkwy. as well as the Wyman Park Rd entrance will be closed as it is on the race route. Runners arriving after this entrance closes are asked to use the entrance off of Greenspring Ave. at Beechwood Dr. to access the parking areas.
From I-83 North –
• Take Exit 7A (West) onto Druid Park Lake Drive. Follow around park crossing Gywnn Falls Pkwy. (Entrance to park at Gywnn Falls & Druid Park Lake Dr. will be CLOSED on race morning.) • Take next right into park entrance at Liberty Heights Ave. • Turn right at Beechwood Dr. into the zoo area. • Follow parking attendants to the parking area for the race
From I-83 South –
• Take Exit 9B (West) to Cold Spring Lane. • Travel .6 mile and at the Second Traffic Light, turn Left onto Greenspring Ave. • Travel 1.3 miles and turn left at Beechwood Dr. into the zoo area. • Follow parking attendants to the parking area for the race.
From I-95 South –
• Take I-695 West to I-83 South. • Take Exit 9B (West) to Cold Spring Lane. • Travel .6 mile and at the Second Traffic Light, turn Left onto Greenspring Ave. • Travel 1.3 miles and turn left at Beechwood Dr. into the zoo area. • Follow parking attendants to the parking area for the race.
From I-95 North –
• Take I-395 North (Exit 53), and enter city using two left-hand lanes (Do not take MLK Exit Ramp). • Turn right on Pratt Street. • Travel approximately 1 mile and then turn left onto President Street. • Continue straight as President St. becomes I-83 North. • Take Exit 7A (West) onto Druid Park Lake Drive. Follow around park crossing Gywnn Falls Rd. (Entrance to park at Gywnn Falls & Druid Park Lake Dr will be CLOSED on race morning). • Take next Right into park entrance at Liberty Heights Ave. • Turn right at Beechwood Dr. into the zoo area. • Follow parking attendants to the parking area for the race
From I-70 –
• Take I-695 North toward Towson to I-83 South. • Take Exit 9B (West) to Cold Spring Lane. • Travel .6 mile and at the Second Traffic Light, turn Left onto Greenspring Ave. • Travel 1.3 miles and turn left at Beechwood Dr. into the zoo area. • Follow parking attendants to the parking area for the race.
From Downtown Baltimore –
• President St. becomes I-83 North. • Take Exit 7A (West) onto Druid Park Lake Drive. Follow around park crossing Gywnn Falls Pkwy. (Entrance to park at Gywnn Falls & Druid Park Lake Dr will be CLOSED on race morning). • Take next Right into park entrance at Liberty Heights Ave. • Turn right at Beechwood Dr. into the zoo area. • Follow parking attendants to the parking area for the race
